Reaction Bonded Double Spiraled Heating Elements

Silcarb’s Ultra-Spiral Double Spiraled Heating Elements are high-density Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide (SiC) heaters designed for efficient, high-temperature applications. With both terminal connections on the same end, these elements are ideal for furnaces with restricted access. The hot zone has a reduced cross-section due to a double spiral slot, increasing resistance and enhancing heating efficiency. The cold ends, made by cutting two longitudinal slots, are cemented with a ceramic collar and feature flat braided aluminum straps secured with stainless steel clamps for reliable electrical connections. These elements offer easy installation, require minimal maintenance, and are suitable for various furnace configurations, including horizontal and vertical mounting. They operate at temperatures up to 1650°C in inert atmospheres and 1600°C in industrial and laboratory furnaces, ensuring long-lasting performance with gradual aging characteristics.
