Silcarb manufactures Aluminium Holding Furnaces using high-density calcium silicate boards as the metal contact material. These furnaces use Silicon Carbide heating elements as their primary heat source, ensuring energy-efficient performance. Designed for Aluminium filtration and holding applications, they offer superior thermal efficiency and durability.

One limitation of crucible-type furnaces is the high cost of ceramic crucibles, which are consumable components. Additionally, their capacity is restricted, and reliability decreases as the size increases. For plants where alloy changes are infrequent, Silcarb’s monolithic cast crucible furnace is the ideal solution, available in capacities ranging from 500 kg to 2000 kg.
