A Reverberatory Furnace is a metallurgical furnace designed to isolate the material from direct fuel contact, but not from combustion gases. It operates by deflecting the flame downward from the roof, enabling indirect heating. These furnaces are widely used in the production of copper, tin, nickel, cement, and aluminium.

Reverberatory furnaces melt metal using direct-fired, wall-mounted burners, with heat transfer occurring primarily through radiation from refractory brick walls and convective heating from the burner.
