Industrial High-Temperature Furnaces by Silcrab

OVERVIEW

High Temperature Furnaces

Silcarb manufactures Industrial High-Temperature Furnaces designed to operate at temperatures up to 1700°C, with numerous installations worldwide. These furnaces utilize Silcarb’s in-house high-density reaction-bonded Silicon Carbide (SiC) heating elements, ensuring uniform heat distribution and long operational life. Engineered for technical ceramic production and sintering operations, they feature vertically mounted SiC heating rods, a thyristor-controlled heating system to counteract element aging, and multi-layered insulation for maximum thermal efficiency. The lightweight refractory brick chamber and dual-shell housing improve heat retention while optimizing ventilation for enhanced performance.

For operational efficiency and safety, these furnaces are fully automated with SCADA systems and PLC control, offering real-time monitoring and documentation. A motor-driven exhaust system, hinged swing door, and advanced safety mechanisms ensure smooth operation in high-temperature environments. Designed to handle heavy charges with precision, Silcarb’s furnaces provide exceptional temperature accuracy, extended heater lifespan, and superior refractory durability, making them a reliable solution for industries requiring precision thermal processing.

FAQs

Silcarb manufactures a Rugged Crucible Type Aluminium Melting Furnace ?

Silcarb manufactures a Rugged Crucible Type Aluminium Melting Furnace (Silicon Carbide Crucible). These are mainly used in melting and holding high magnesium alloys of Aluminum and Copper. Silicon Carbide Heaters are used as the main heat source. Crucible furnaces are small capacity furnaces used for small melting applications or exclusively as holding furnaces. The metal is placed or poured into a ceramic crucible which is contained in a circular furnace that is fired by a gas burner or heated by electric elements/
